Privacy & accessibility.

How we handle client and visitor data, and what we do to keep this site usable by everyone. Last updated April 24, 2026.

Privacy policy

One Shot Drone Tours ("OSDT," "we," "our") is a Charlotte-based drone media studio. This policy explains what personal information we collect on oneshotdronetours.com, why we collect it, and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Contact information you submit. When you book a shoot, email us, or use the contact form, we receive your name, email, phone number, and whatever scope details you share. That information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and deliver the shoot.
  • Shoot-day records. For paid work, we retain invoices, contracts, and delivery records in our business accounting and file-delivery systems. Standard business-records retention applies.
  • Basic site analytics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting tool that measures traffic without cookies or cross-site tracking. Aggregate page-view and device data only, nothing that identifies an individual visitor.
  • Booking-portal data. Our residential booking flow uses a third-party portal (Aryeo). Any data you enter there is governed by that provider's privacy policy.

What we don't collect

  • Tracking cookies across sites.
  • Behavioral advertising data or identifiers sold to third parties.
  • Precise geolocation unless you provide an address for a shoot.

How we use the information

Only for the work you hired us to do: scheduling the shoot, coordinating on-site logistics, producing the deliverables, invoicing, and following up on future projects if you opt in. We don't sell or share contact lists with anyone.

Third-party services we rely on

  • Cloudflare, hosting, CDN, and analytics.
  • Cloudflare Stream, video hosting for hero reels. Stream serves without cookies by default.
  • Email providers (Gmail / Google Workspace, or similar) for inbound and outbound mail.
  • SkyWatch.ai, commercial drone liability insurance administration.
  • Booking portal for residential scheduling.
  • Frame.io / Vimeo / Google Drive for deliverable handoff.

How long we keep your data

Business records (contracts, invoices, deliverables) are retained per standard US tax and business-record requirements, generally seven years. Inbound email and inquiry records are retained for as long as needed to respond; you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (where legally permitted). Email contact@oneshotdronetours.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Drone footage and publication

When we shoot paid commercial or residential work, we retain the right to use representative footage in our portfolio, social channels, and journal unless the project is under NDA. Clients receive unrestricted usage rights to delivered media for their own marketing use. If you'd prefer your shoot stay out of our portfolio, note it in the inquiry and we'll honor that.

Drone operations and privacy of people captured on camera

All OSDT pilots are FAA Part 107 certified and operate under federal airspace regulations. We file LAANC authorizations in controlled airspace. During shoots, we avoid capturing identifiable individuals who are not part of the subject of the shoot. On event-day venue coverage, we coordinate with the venue and event planner on guest-privacy expectations.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our data practices change. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top.

Accessibility statement

We believe the information on this site should be usable by everyone. We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and work to improve wherever we fall short.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML. Headings, lists, buttons, and landmarks are used as intended so screen readers can navigate the structure.
  • Alt text. Every image conveys a purpose either through alt text or as decorative (with aria-hidden) when content is duplicated in adjacent copy.
  • Keyboard navigation. Links, buttons, and form controls are reachable and operable by keyboard. Focus states are visible.
  • Color contrast. Body text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios on the site's palette.
  • Reduced motion. Background videos, parallax effects, and hover flip animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
  • Forms. Inputs are labeled. Required fields are marked in both text and by the HTML required attribute.

Known gaps we're working on

  • Some third-party embeds (Cloudflare Stream player) carry their own accessibility profile that we don't fully control.
  • The video-background hero sections use text shadows for legibility; if you find a section where the copy is hard to read against the moving video, please tell us and we'll adjust.

How to report an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, a form you can't complete, a page that doesn't work with your screen reader, a button you can't reach by keyboard, please email contact@oneshotdronetours.com. Include the page URL and a brief description of what went wrong. We treat accessibility issues as bugs, not feature requests, and will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
